red stripes for the win by Hart-Worx

Absolutely fabulous work. Latex is such a awesome fabric to photograph. Lightning is stunning and vibrant. Composition is well defined,...

Which quote from Isaac Asimov do you like the most

8 deviants said The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
6 deviants said Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today - but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.
4 deviants said If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.
3 deviants said Humanity has the stars in its future, and that future is too important to be lost under the burden of juvenile folly and ignorant superstition.
3 deviants said I do not fear computers. I fear the lack of them.
3 deviants said Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.
3 deviants said Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
2 deviants said A subtle thought that is in error may yet give rise to fruitful inquiry that can establish truths of great value.
2 deviants said Creationists make it sound as though a 'theory' is something you dreamt up after being drunk all night.
1 deviant said Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.

Pristine by Mr-Frenzy
The one thing i love about shooting in the deep forest is being able to adventure out to hidden locations not very many people have been. The little voice in ones head that says "hey, i don't think there's been people here in ages".
The wonder when you spot an old impression of a boot, wondering where that individual was going. How long has it been?

One of my favorite things to shoot is tight, dense, forest scapes. Where one can almost feel and smell the nature. To wish to take a sip of the water rushing past, to feel the cold air gently pulling at your jacket. To really make the most out of the composition without clutting it up with too much distraction.

The shot was made up of 3 pano segments, with 5 brackets at each exposure to get the most out of the range as i could.

The piece was shot in the forest area called Brungmarka in Klæbu Norway.

Golden Moment by Mr-Frenzy
Golden Moment
The drive had been pretty uneventful. The sun was hiding behind the clouds that was starting to form and no particular scenery were reveling itself to me. Anyone that have been shooting scenes before can probably relate to the frustration i was feeling.  Well, I had pretty much packed up my gear and was starting to get out of the spothunting mode, refilled my cup of coffee and hooked up some music on the stereo. Suddenly I noticed the sun peaking carefully out from the bottom edge of the clouds, almost to say "ok buddy, fine...", to give me a few minutes of pure magic.

I never cease to be amazed by the "golden hour", the hour before the sun goes to the bar and asks for a double :) I've driven past this spot several times before, always in grey conditions and flat light. This time the change was just bloody astronomical. The clouds were telling me that i had about a few precious minutes before all hell would come down my neck. I remember having goosebumps on my skin, mumbling to myself "DONT SCREW THIS UP..." hehe.

The final post RESULT ended up great. The light conditions is dramatic, pushing out the glorious colors of the trees and bringing up the contrast against the dark sky.

Hope you enjoy it.

Stay safe.

Bliss by Mr-Frenzy
The feeling is unique, its a sense of calm peacefulness that washes over ones distresses, doubts and worries. And the most wonderful thing about it is that it kinda sneaks up on you :) . This is what i strive for when I'm out in the forest looking for a shoot. It's not my eyes that tells me I've got a nice composition, it's the feeling of bliss, of finding the hidden balance.

I wanted to make a piece with tight vegetation, and a nice visual line to tighten up the composition. I aimed in the post processing to create a dreamy smooth calm feel to it, to push it into the area of dreamscapes.

Stay safe.

Dreaming Of Summer by Mr-Frenzy
Dreaming Of Summer
Here in norway we have a pretty long winter. It's cold, white and though beautiful, one starts to long after summer when the months stretch on.

I wanted to make a piece that reminds me of how wonderful the summer really is, the play of colors, the intense green wall of leaves, rays of light lighting up the haze of a fresh stream rushing past.

This place is about 5 minutes walk from where i live.

Reverence by Mr-Frenzy
Sometimes you forget where you are, what you are doing and just has to stop and stare. This was one of those moments for me. The sun hitting the fog was lighting the entire hillside and created such a magical moment.

Well now I know why you like my pictures of Norway!!! This trip was a gift from all my friends, they chipped in to send me!! I was 21, and broke. My girlfriends parents were from Norway and they were going back for a visit. I was so lucky, I had interpreters, and got to see a lot of Norway off the beaten path. It was the best trip I have ever taken. Of course it was my only overseas trip. But I have travelled a lot in the states and Canada. So thank you for faving so much or all of my gallery!! I have never had that happen!!!
