Updated information

Damn, has it been 5 years since i first joined Da, man this place has changed over the years. Back then all i was really interested in was making sci-fi and 3D, and now, well i guess photography has fully manifested itself into my main area of interest.

Just thought i'd let you guys know that i'll be doing some revamping on my profile. With some new glass in the mail, and a ton of new material to work on after a week on the road, the creativity is literally boiling over so to say.

Here's a short summary of maybe my most important crossroad so far, which ofcourse has had its impact on both my professional and personal life:

Roughly two and a half year back, i was done with my science grade and ofcourse eager for a job. I think i sent like 10 different applications for jobs involving computer software, programming, management and so on. It was all related to my education except for one. A company not far away from my place was looking for somebody skilled in photoshop and photomanipulation in general, and i before i had really thought it through, i was actually offered the position.

Up until that moment, photography and digital art had just been a hobby, something i've just done for fun and recreational reasons. Now the same day, i got offered another job, which was as a system developer, which ofcourse was what i've been graduating for. Now you can call that somewhat of a luxuryproblem, but it kinda struck me, do i really want to make my hobby, my job?

Well after some pondering i came to the conclusion that i made the right choice. I went for the position as a systems developer.

Now you're all probably wondering when i'll get to the point The point of the story is simple. Before i graduated, i could spend hours in the evenings programming on some little project i had. Today there is one thing i really dont do when i get back from work, yup you guessed it. I think that the same thing would have happened to my art, i would come home and hate the idea of making cool art, which in it self would be kinda sad.

Anyways, just some thoughts.
