Description
This is a piece thats been in the works for some time now. Someone once said to me that you cant shoot IR with the canon 5d, well, here's the proof that it can be done.
When i first approached the spot with the boat, the light was poor, the scene didn't look too interesting, but i thought, hey better give it a go. After some tinkering with different ideas i suddenly remembered my infrared filter sitting at the bottom of my cam bag. And the wind was nowhere to be seen so the conditions for IR were perfect.
Once back into photoshop i aimed for a colorful/juicy look to this one, trying to enhance the dreamlook i was aiming for.
The picture is made up of 2 pictures blended and tweeked together, the reference and the IR. The reference was shot at 70mm, ISO 250, shutterspeed 1/50s and aperture at f/5.6. The IR was shot with the same settings except the custom whitebalance and the 124s shutterspeed
Hope you guys like this one. I had a lot of fun making it.
Tools of the trade: Canon eos 5D, Canon 24-70mm f2.8L USM, Hoya IR, Photoshop CS2, coffee
Working time: 7 hours, shooting included.

Ooooo! Thats amazing! Colors are superb, and really sharp details!
What you mean cant take IR shots? Aint it just a filter? Is it camera dependent?
Want to try it out you see, but have no idea how it works.
