A really fun picture to make. This concept itself came to my mind after i was checking my cellphone At first i wondered how i should represent the people/mass that's suppose to face away. Well i thought about printing faces, but thats was quickly discarded. I ended up with the arrows, wich i printed out on 2 A4 pages and manually cut them out, wohoo, was kinda boring, believe me

The shoot was realy straight forward. I desided to stay away from the flash and use some directed light instead for a more moody feel. Back into Photoshop i straightened out the errors, fixed the picture in the phone, wich is a stock photo from sxc.hu, and smoothed out the texture wich the phone and arrows was resting on. After that i desided to go with the quad tones, making this a semi-black & white, with black, brown, light brown and white making up the major tones.

After a quick touch with levels and some general sharpening, the piece was ready to go

The picture was shot with my Canon 5D with the good ol 24-70mm f2.8L USM lens and edited using Photoshop cs2.
