The Essence Of Subspace by Mr-Frenzy The Essence Of Subspace by Mr-Frenzy
Yay, this is my most worked up project so far. Ive never done as much brushing as i did in this one lol. Its really hard to do space stuff because you really dont know how things look, but at the same time it can be really easy because we dont know shit about space lol.

I Used about 9 hours on this one, and if anyone of you guys remember my last submit, i used the same method on the nebula as in this one, but the last was just practise  I think it needs more caring though lol, i guess one will never be finished with a picture if one should think like that. Well i hope you all like this one.

Created with photoshop cs and 3ds max 6

Keep on groovin people , stay way out there

Enjoy

I dunno if somebody told you this before (I have only read the first 25 comments), but the shading of the planet is not correct, according to the background lightsource. The planet itself looks great, but the background doesn't fit it. They have different resolution/detail/realism. I hope this helps you on creating wonderful stuff (as I have seen in other art pieces of you).

Regards

Really nice. Great work, except you have been playing around with a darkening brush to make the clouds (exactly as if I had done it...). But that way of brushing is cool in this pic, it's sort of "living". Maybe you are to develop a new subcategory in spacescenes, who knows?
Keep it up!

Congratulations this is really a beautiful piece of work. The smoothness is amazing and for a jpeg it's so clear. The nebula really adds to it. Did you use a texture of Mars on the planet? I tried a similar scene maybe if you have time you could have a look and let me know how to improve it? But anyway this makes me wanna go back to 3D Studio Max, i might have to have another bash. Great work.

yes, i used one of the premaid textures that come along with 3ds. Its fast, easy and good lokin, if you're into creating planets, 3ds max is soo kickass. Tnx for the killer comment bro, tnx a lot ;)

Wow, the amount of work in this is just stunning! I'm honestly running out of complements to give you! The little planets sprinkled willy-nilly around this give it a definitely feeling of chaos with underlying order. And the fact that the nebula in the background makes it feel like the whole star system is encased in the clouds. That would be a pretty effective defensive wall for the inhabitants if the nebual was radioactive.

Oops, sorry, I got to rambling about my sci-fi tactical thoughts again. But hey, not many pictures can stimulate me enough to make me ramble like that. Keep up the great work!

very nice starfield and planets m8! :D
One of the best starfields i ever saw here at DA! :D

Although the clouds could be worked out a bit better in my opinion.
Try using the brush at a opacity of, lets just say 5-10.
Than you must click click click ( not drag! :P )
and in this way you can have variety in the thickness of the clouds :)
that will look alot better...

good luck m8! GREEEETZZZ! kamjar fadai :D
